About This Learning Path

This learning path provides a comprehensive foundation in building and analyzing financial models used across corporate finance, investment analysis, and private equity. Starting with an introduction to financial statements, you’ll learn how to interpret income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements before progressing to structured projections in Excel. You’ll master company valuation methods including discounted cash flow (DCF), market multiples, and return on investment analysis. From there, the path deepens your expertise through advanced modeling topics such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts (LBOs), and startup valuation. You’ll also apply your knowledge in project-based scenarios, evaluating startup investments, mergers, and leveraged buyouts through realistic case studies. Each course builds on the last, combining practical Excel modeling skills with analytical reasoning to prepare you for professional financial analysis, equity research, or transaction advisory roles.
